A global survey from law firm Herbert Smith Freehills has found one in three employers are planning to pay employees who work from home differently from their office colleagues.
There are concerns it will spark a battle with remote staff who may feel relegated to being second-class, but workplace expert Michelle Gibbings says it’s about the outcome, not the destination.
“Most organisations pay differently … so focus on the output, focus on the quality of the work that people are doing,” Ms Gibbings told Ross and Russel.
